With over 30 years’ business
experience intertwining periods
of corporate life and
self-employment Gwen Rhys set up
Networking Culture in 1996. She
works with a wide range of
organisations to support
effective personal networking
and the development of internal
and external networks.
In 2003 she founded the Women in
the City (WIC) Annual Lunch.
Today WIC aims to empower,
motivate, inspire and celebrate
the success of professional
women working in and around the
City of London. As well as the
Annual Lunch, WIC offers
prestigious annual Awards and
launches its Summer Symposium in
July 2009.
Gwen is a frequent conference speaker, mentors students, and is a local town councillor.
In 2008 she became the second woman since 1664 to be appointed Assistant to the Court of the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers, one of the City’s ancient Livery companies. She is a Freeman of the City of London, a member of the Queenhithe Ward Club and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.In 2009 Gwen was nominated Management Champion by the City Branch of the Chartered Management Institute.
