ABOUT GWEN RHYS

With over 30 years’ business experience intertwining periods of corporate life and self-employment Gwen Rhys set up Networking Culture in 1996. She works with a wide range of organisations to support effective personal networking and the development of internal and external networks.

In 2003 she founded the Women in the City (WIC) Annual Lunch.  Today WIC aims to empower, motivate, inspire and celebrate the success of professional women working in and around the City of London. As well as the Annual Lunch, WIC offers prestigious annual Awards and launches its Summer Symposium in July 2009.

Gwen is a frequent conference speaker, mentors students, and is a local town councillor.

In 2008 she became the second woman since 1664 to be appointed Assistant to the Court of the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers, one of the City’s ancient Livery companies. She is a Freeman of the City of London, a member of the Queenhithe Ward Club and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

In 2009 Gwen was nominated Management Champion by the City Branch of the Chartered Management Institute.
