ABOUT GWEN RHYS

Gwen is an experienced businesswomen who first set up her own business in the late 1970s. Selling her business, she moved onto a flourishing career designing, promoting and implementing several highly innovative initiatives that brought together the worlds of education and industry/commerce. During this time she was part of the senior management team of two Training & Enterprise Councils, served on a number of Boards and Steering Committees at both local and national level and developed two London-wide diversity initiatives.  This career phase culminated in her being appointed Chief Executive of Westminster Enterprise Agency in 1995.

In 1996 she founded ew-network, a network of women entrepreneurs which she ran until 2003 and this led, in 1997, to her setting up Networking Culture Limited.

Her clients include major corporates, universities, professional practices, charities and social enterprises, business associations, owner managers and individuals.

She is a past member of the Fundraising Committee for the fpa and sat on the 2006 Manja Leigh Committee of the London-wide breast cancer charity, Cancerkin. Gwen is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Gwen's connection with the City of London began in 1993 when she became one of the first female Liverymen of the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers.
